Zero Degrees Ice & Logistics
Zero Degrees Ice is Shingar Groups ice production and supply brand name. The 1,000kg daily capacity Ice Plant is located @ Ground Zero complex in Zvishavane. The brand prides itself in production safe ice and operates under the mantra “Ice is food” and should be rightly treated as such throughout the production process. Our ice is made from purified, filtered and ultraviolet disinfected water, and is hygienically packed. We are dedicated to consumer enjoyment, product availability, service and our customers success. We also aim to continue gaining market share by entering new potential markets and providing our clients with a quality product.
High Standards
Our refrigerated trucks ensure delivery of the highest quality ice. The water used to make our ice passes through a 0.5-micron filter, which removes all dirt, odours and tastes. This enables us to supply pure, hygienic ice. To ensure top quality, our hygiene standards are also randomly checked by independent micro laboratories. Our food safety system is audited, and we follow HACCP principles. Certification is available for all our clients, upon request.
Zero Degrees Ice is produced under the following strict production processes:
- Purification tank
- 3 Stage water filtration process and carbon filtration
- UV Sterilisation
- Automated production therefore no hand contact throughout the production process
- Regular Medicals for all production staff
All this is done in order to always ensure our guarantee of safe a product. It is also the only Zimbabwean company currently undergoing the IPIA International certification process and working towards SAZ certification.
We also undergo quarterly health, safety and hygiene audits by reputable international companies and are therefore listed as the preferred supplier to several large retailers and leisure centres.
Our vehicles are properly insulated and where necessary refrigerated, which makes it possible for our ice to be delivered in good condition. We consistently strive to meet the high standards of reliability and prompt delivery as demanded by all our valued customers.
Cold chain logistics (also referred to as chill chain logistics) is the transport of temperature-controlled goods, such as temperature-sensitive foods, beverages, and bio-pharmaceutical products.
We are committed to transforming the cold storage and delivery of perishable foods and other goods to help more products reach more markets.

We manage clients’ products in reliable and efficient temperature-controlled storage facilities offering frozen, chilled, ambient-controlled and ambient storage equipped with real-time temperature monitoring systems and backup power generators.
We specialize in transport solutions for frozen, chilled and ambient goods. We offer dedicated short-haul, point-to-point distribution services. Our services include door-to-door delivery, customized runs and cargo consolidation. We also provide secondary transportation, i.e., last mile distribution, for quick service restaurants, retail outlets, restaurants and hotels.
Cold Clan works with small-scale and commercial farmers in offering cold chain solutions to minimize post-harvest losses and maintain the quality of produce.
We are launching solutions that include cooling boxes at collection points, cooling and curing facilities and temperature-controlled transportation to markets. In addition to our refrigerated cold chain fleet we also have mobile refrigerated trailers for hire.
